Isla Bastimentos, Panama, May 2015

BACKGROUND

Hydromissions returned to Isla Bastimentos, Bocas del Toro in Panama, where they drilled a well in March 2014 and a latrine in September 2014. On this project, Hydromissions returned to focus more effort on training and equipping local Ngobe men for drilling.

Three men showed interest in more training in well drilling so they could drill on other islands. These men were trained on 2 different wells. In addition to training in drilling, Hydromissions also continued hygiene education in the adjacent villages. A YWAM team was also trained in well drilling and borrowed a drilling kit to drill three wells on Isla Tigre.
